Since childhood, I have been advised not only by my teachers but also doctors that I should take eight glasses of water daily. Unfortunately, the eight glasses a day rule, is rarely adhered to and hence the body slowly develops complications due to dehydration. The importance of water in our bodies cannot be overemphasized. If you are yet to adapt the habit, begin today.
There is a deep connection between the amount of water you take daily and the kind of skin you have. It only takes a few days for your skin to become fairer with the increase in the number of glasses. You need to know that water serves as the agent that flushes away toxins from your body. Toxins are chemical substances as a result of the body processes. Without water, your cell will not be able to remove waste products from your body. These waste materials may pile up in your body and later cause diseases. Water also goes a long way to hydrate your skin and hence reducing dryness.

The body chemistry behind this is that if you continue taking too little water, you body perceives this as a risk to survival. The immediate response is to begin to retain water. This may cause swollen feet, hands or any other body part.
